Be One of 100

For our 100th anniversary, we want to help 100 students through seminary. Will you be one of our 100?

The Barnabas Project

How do you connect with and encourage a young seminary student on their path to ministry?

Many—and perhaps you are one—know that they have a lifetime of value to add to these young seminary students. But, generally, it's the getting-started part that is so difficult.

And on top of that, it's no secret that the moral state of our country is moving away from Jesus, not toward Him. In times like these the Church needs to support each other more than ever.

At NOBTS, we believe that every single member of the Church has a crucial role to play.

And so it is for this reason that we have created the Barnabas Project.

The Barnabas Project is a program that allows you—from where you live—to provide, both financially and spiritually, for seminary students during this formative time in their life.

WHAT WILL MY ROLE IN THE BARNABAS PROJECT BE?

Let us first say: we're always amazed at what God can do. So we don't presume to know where this will end. But if you take the first step and join, we can certainly tell you where it begins.

During the Barnabas Project:

- You will be paired with a qualifying student eager to learn and grow
- It will be a 3 year commitment to ensure deep growth
- And you will have the opportunity, through the school, to encourage this student

WHAT KIND OF LEADERS SHOULD CONSIDER THE BARNABAS PROJECT?

The truth is, if you've read this far, you're probably already a good candidate.

We're looking for solid believers who have a track record of building up the Church. If this is the first time you’ve formally done something like this, that’s okay. We'll help you there.

Larry Black, one of our Barnabas Project members, told us:

“It’s an unbelievable reward to be involved in a young person’s life who is studying for the ministry, to experience some of their joys and experience some of their downturns, which do come.”

This is the kind of blessing that comes with being a Barnabas Project member.

WHAT DOES THE BARNABAS PROJECT COST?

Because 90% of the funds go directly to the scholarship for the student you are paired with, the entry point is $2,000/year. (Of that, 10% goes to the Providence Fund which helps keep tuition costs affordable, because when the Providence Fund is healthy everything else is healthier.)

Think about it... For a little over $5/day, you give a seminary student, not only the means to complete their theological education, but an encouraging relationship that will last them the rest of their life.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Getting started is easy.

1. Contact us at (800) 662-8701, EXT. 3252
2. Tell us a little about yourself and we'll pair you with the right student
3. Begin making the kind of difference that will last beyond this life.

We believe that every single member in the body has an active and necessary role to play.

God has caused men and women to pour into your life. Don't let that go to waste. Pass on what God has given you to someone who is hungry for it.
